Wall Lake Park — Attraction in Wall Lake Township

There's always algae in the water out here always been like this for years Don't know why .. went to lake Alvin had no problem swimming and coming out clean but always coming out green in lake Alvin.. kind of a shame.. but for a free place to go and there's not really any around Sioux Falls it works.. also the bathrooms have no stall They leave the doors open so anyone could walk in there even a man and a child could be in there by themselves and nobody would even know there's no privacy for going to the bathroom...

Love taking the family there on hot days! It doesn't get too crowded and the water is nice in the earlier summer months. The water is known to get filled with algae later on, but we have picnics there and enjoy the water and playing in the sand. Only a 20 minute drive from Sioux falls. But bring your own soap or hand sanitizer, because the bathroom...

The only reason I gave this 2 stars and not 1 is because the lakes are so few and far between in south dakota, the water quality is absolutely awful! If you go early enough in the summer months its not to bad, but as the season progresses the water only gets worse. The beach also tends to be crowded, and is very small. But for the area I guess...
