While at a neighboring winery, we were recommended to come over to try Brook and Bull, which was a great find! Even though they were extremely busy with Spring Release weekend, they squeezed us in as Walk-Ins. The tasting automatically came with a small plate of food pairings, which was a pleasant and unique surprise!
In the middle of our tasting, the wine maker herself, Ashley Trout, came over to chat with us! She was so kind, and fascinating to talk to. We deeply appreciated that she took the time to answer our questions. Her cabernet was the best I had tasted the entire trip, even when compared to the extremely large and famous wineries in the area. I absolutely had to buy a bottle, lol.

Read moreStarted off good. Our tasting room host was a tad pushy and we felt rushed. There was a young college age girl working there and we had engaged in conversation with her, she was super fun and inviting. We had asked if there was anything else open to taste and she said “yes, they had a Malbec”. Super, 2 of our party tasted it and loved it. Our original host then snapped at our new pal that she couldn’t serve us that as we weren’t club members. That was good wine and we actually would have considered becoming a member but our original host left a bad taste in our mouth.
