This review is long overdue; however, I wanted to ensure there were professional photos to add!
First off, we fell in love with the venue prior to our wedding when we were wine tasting one day (fantastic wine, by the way!). The views, scenery, the aesthetic of the tasting room, being outdoors, and of course, the very friendly, accommodating, and warm staff.
We first inquired about Kinhaven, connected with Kasey, and the best news was - it's not only her venue, but she does planning, AND the florals! A bride's dream. She does it all, but she does it all BEAUTIFULLY and makes it super easy. I wasn't very stressed about the wedding at all because I totally trusted her. I mean look at the venue... it's gorgeous. You can only imagine her eye for your special day.
We had our ceremony at St Patrick's church with Dream Ride Charters shuttling everyone over to the venue. We opted for the champagne wall, open bar, appetizers for a our cocktail hour, then a seated family style dinner in the vineyard (stunning!), plus dancing on their paved area at the tasting room area.
Everything was so well done. Kasey made a couple of executive decisions for me and she made the right call -- It was near summer solstice and I had thought I wanted candles at the tables, which wouldn't have done well in bright light and opted for little bud vases which brought in some color to the tables. Her judgement was SPOT ON.
For the florals, I really wanted some color to pop against my bridesmaid's navy dresses and she picked some beautiful flowers for me and also brought in tiny pops of blue to tie it in that I hadn't thought of. She did a great job of reusing flowers from the church and bringing them to the reception venue so we could get the most of them. I greatly appreciated her attention to this detail and helping you save where you can.
If you are thinking of Kinhaven and Kasey Davenport for your wedding dreams, don't hesitate, just do it. You won't be disappointed, you will in fact be so satisfied and happy with your choice for the happiest day...
Read moreWe had THE dreamiest day of our lives, mid September of 2024 at Kinhaven in Walla Walla. I cannot recommend this venue, Kinhaven wine (the bubbles! The vio! The carm!!), or Kasey Davenport (and her entire team!!) enough. Kasey took us on about 6 months out from the last available date in the 2024 season (they only do weddings for the summer months!) and made literally everything happen. She vetted photographers and videographers, crafted the incredibly beautiful florals, designed the tables (I still can’t believe how incredible this night was!!!), found us the perfect caterer (Happy Wanderer does elevated Mexican that knocked the socks off of our guests and vendors and was exactly what we wanted!). Every ridiculous request we came up with, she had an answer to- I think she knows everyone in walla walla- including a contact from the college who composed the walk-down-the-aisle mashup of my dreams. Kasey was worth every single penny- and we could not have asked for a more ideal venue. Reach out, go visit, have a conversation with her over a glass of wine- you’ll see...
Read moreI love exploring new wineries because it is fun to look back several years down the road and see how much they change over the years. KinHaven turned out to be an excellent new find and I am glad we took the time to try them!
The facility itself is gorgeous and has breathtaking views. I couldn't get over how lovely it was to sip wine with such scenery to look at. The owners were there pouring wines, and took the time to chat with us and make sure we were comfortable. The wines were mostly very bright and lively. At least one of the reds had cellaring potential, but for the most part you would want to drink them within a year or so. I love that they are growing their own grapes too!
I look forward to visiting in the future and seeing how KinHaven grows! I think they would do gangbusters business if they offered food pairings with their flights, especially since one of the owners used...
