A great park 300 acre passive park with working farm, forest, small pond and Indian Creek. You begin your visit by driving up an oak and beech tree lined drive. This land has been in agricultural use since the 1700s and is currently maintained as a demonstration farm to educate visitors. The property has the mansion that can be rented, gardens, the park office, education area and bathrooms near the first parking lot. The lower parking lot gives you easy access to the fenced fields where you can see of Scottish Highlanders, Belted Galloway cattle, mules, sheep and goats outside the restored barn. There are additional bathrooms in this area. The lower lot also is where a paved trail that will take you to the pond and fishing deck. Read moreI've been visiting this farm since I was a teen and I was able to finally bring my children here a few days ago to also experience this. It's quiet, clean, pet friendly. This donkey was the sweetest boy ever! We spent about an hour here and it hasn't changed since the last time I visited. Years ago I was able to watch the mama pig give birth to her piglets and it was an amazing experience to witness. The animals are all well taken care of and all so cute.
