My boyfriend and I went to the farm this morning specifically for figs. We love them and usually end up getting them from the grocery store when they’re in season. I had heard of Neal’s some time ago, but never made the trip out. I saw on Facebook that they had figs ready to be picked so we stopped by right when they opened at 7:30am. I highly suggest stopping by early to get a good shot at getting the best produce (also so it’s not a billion degrees out). We ended up getting a couple of pounds of figs, as well as peaches, okra, zinnias, and blackberries (it’s the end of the season so not many). I was a bit nervous that the produce would not be as good as the produce at HEB or Kroger. I was happy to be wrong! It tastes great and the price is good. Not to mention, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Coco was amazing! Highly recommend a...
Read moreThis is the first time we felt that Waller has racist people. The firm owner seemed cool and friendly but his employee - Coco, short haired lady in her mid thirties constantly rebuked my daughter and her friends if they we’re looking for a quality fruit or vegetable to pick. She would pick stuff herself and shoved it to them. My daughter and her friends are adult and they are very well behaved honor society members. They were planning to spend half of their day and pick stuff for the family members to surprise them. But this lady ruined their day completely. Paid customers are literally verbally abused by this lady. If this business wants to have returned customers then they better take some action. We are Texan and settled here 5 years back. This is the first time we felt we are not welcome in our own...
Read moreThese people are so demanding on everything! Don’t do this and don’t do that is what we heard throughout our picking experience! The woman at the counter (probably the owner’s wife) and the woman near the nectarine trees were so annoying! We could not do our own picking because she would follow us and ask us what to pick and was watching us picking all the time! What kind of a “pick your own” is that?? No privacy at all! And they also asked us not to eat anything while picking because they spray some oil in the fruites, even in blackberries! So you cannot “eat” them with that so called oil (chemical) on them. How good and safe are these to eat even after washing them! The farm is nice but, we won’t be back for this experience, you decide if...
