Have you ever thought about preserving Hindu culture for the benefit of your children? Do you know about the importance of saving and worshiping our cows to meet that purpose? Thanks to Abhinav and Pratibha ji for taking such a big selfless initiative to make this mission possible right here in Texas. Gau mata is rescued from slaughter houses. They are given a traditional habitat. They are named. They are touched. They are loved. They are fed “gur”. They are spoken to in Hindi. They are becoming less fearful of humans. They are worshipped as they should be. On the side there is organic farming and Traditional havan practices. It may take time but the picture will be complete when this becomes not only a cultural and education hub for Indian families, but the value of gau mata will be acknowledged and preserved for generations to come. 🙏

Peaceful place with a small Krishna temple and a 20+ acre land with grazing “Brahmin” cows and bulls. Love their mission of rescuing cows headed for slaughter and also taking care of older cows and bulls. There are also 2 beautiful pairs of peacocks-peahens on the property. One of the partners accompanied us during our visit and was gracious to show us around and get us with the cows and bulls. They charge $25 per family to feed the cows and there are other packages if you want to cuddle with cows and so on. Overall, feeding the cows was a big hit with kids and adults alike! Highly recommend. Tip: Do call ahead and schedule a time for “cow gazing” as there are some limited timeframes that they are open. When we went they were open from 10:00-12:30 and 2:30-5:30 pm. But those times will vary.

This place provided me with my very first experience involving cow cuddling and I am extremely thankful it did. There is an indescribable peace that is gifted by these animals. It’s as though they speak to your inner you. I got to hug, pet, brush their fur (they loved that), and also talk to them. You can also feed them with treats from the farm. My guide for the day was Nelish and he did a 10 out of 10 job with making me feel comfortable in the cows’ space and educated me on new things regarding them. A fantastic experience. I’m definitely coming back to this place. I’ve been telling everyone about my time here. Hurry up and go experience things for yourself you won’t regret it. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, I didn’t lol.
