The Prickel Barn — Attraction in Walton

My daughter Olivia was married here on May 3, 2025 to her beloved Jason. I can't thank or compliment the owner Angie, and all her staff enough! The grounds, the cottages available to stay in, the incredible Bridal Suite, the shuttles to help get family and friends back and forth to the Barn, especially since it rained a lot! The facilities, the very large Bridal room to get ready , and the Bachelors room were perfect! A great size for make up and Hair professionals to be able to work in with 4-5 vanities, large mirrors and chairs, a comfy couch, a stand alone extra large mirror , and its attached to the bathroom. They were so easy to talk to during the planning & the actual day and were extremely accommodating! Anything we asked for was immediately a yes! So easy to get vendors in and out without us having to wait around for them. Angie came in several times during the day asking if she could do anything for us, or help out in any way. She is so down to earth and really cares that we were having fun and had all our needs met! Janet is a doll! She is also someone who helps out and is around during the whole day and evening ready to help in any way! She was constantly checking to make sure we were comfortable, checking garbage and supplies and making sure we stayed stocked at all times! We checked 3 other places prior to The Prickle Barn, and immediately fell in love with the grounds, the many options and choices, including renting the entire place for the weekend. We knew this was the place. The service was exceptional!! At the end of the night, staff came in to break the room down and the families stayed to help, and those young men were so respectful, kind, positive, always smiling! The Prickel Barn deserves a million stars. It is the most stunning idyllic wedding venue that far exceeds all others and it will always have a special place in my heart. Though I used it for my wedding, it is so much more than a wedding venue for me. It’s a place of home and sanctuary, where God’s presence is so real and alive.

When I found the Prickel Barn, it literally checked off everything in my list. I wanted a venue that was rustic chic and vintage; check. I wanted a venue with a woodsy fairytale-esque outdoor area, and an outdoor grand stair case; check check. I wanted the altar area to be raised and not on the same level as the guests; check. I wanted to be married in front of a cross; check. Most of all I wanted a venue that aligned to my beliefs and convictions; check check check! It was a miracle divine match. Not to mention, the bridal suite is OUT OF THIS WORLD stunning.

The venue itself is just gorgeous, very fairytale esque, but what makes it so perfect are the owners, Angie and Randy. Angie is the sweetest most caring woman, and she quickly became a dear friend to me in my time of working with her. I truly did not feel like I was working with just another big name business corporation; it felt as though I were working alongside a friend I’d known for a while. Because of her and her venue, I was able to have the wedding of my dreams. I am so, so grateful for Angie, Randy, for their ministry and outreach, and for the Prickel Barn, a home away from home, which will always remain near and dear to my heart. ♥️

We had our wedding at The Prickel Barn and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The service we received was truly the best we’ve ever experienced. Angie and Randy went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that every detail was taken care of — they treated us like family.

The barn itself is stunning. The rustic charm combined with elegant touches like the chandeliers and that beautiful 40-foot cross created such a special atmosphere. Our guests are still raving about how gorgeous the venue was, and the photos turned out breathtaking thanks to the amazing backdrop of the property.

What really made our experience unforgettable was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff(JANE). They were organized, helpful, and genuinely cared about making our day special. Our Graduation party was absolutely Amazing!
