Gasselings Ranches Christmas Trees is an awesome place to spend time cutting your own Christmas tree, drinking some hot chocolate or cider, taking a wagon ride around the tree ranch, and enjoying one or more of the warm and cheerful warming fires that are scattered around the ranch. Everyone was super nice and friendly, and the entire process from arriving/parking, getting your saw and tag, and loading and leaving is well thought out. We enjoyed taking a wagon ride first to get an idea of the types and locations of the different trees, then heading out on foot to find our special tree. We cut the tree and took it to one of the roads on the tree farm. It was then transported to the staging area, measured, shaken to get loose needles removed, and wrapped in netting for travel. And the price was fair, i thought, especially given that this is a fresh cut tree. The Gasseling folks loaded the tree, and then I had to tie it down. All in all, a great time...
Read moreWe went 2 weeks ago and it was a fun experience. My coworker really talked it up and our expectations may have been higher. Very large selection of trees of all kinds and sizes. It was quite fun being able to wander around, find the perfect tree and cut it down. You definitely know you are getting a fresh tree that will easily last through Christmas. One negative is the reindeer and Santa were not there, we don't have kids so that was not why we went, but if that is why you are going I would definitely call ahead. The fire pit idea is cool if you have kids but but they only had one fire pit and it is a money making operation so you will definitely pay for your cocoa, s'mores, and hotdogs. On the flip side tree prices were pretty good, cheaper than some of the fancy tree lots in town. Definitely a fun thing to do, would have been nice to see the entire operation up and running...
Read moreGreat place! This year was our first time there and we will be back. Actually called friends on the way home to tell them they should come here. Family friendly, easy going, well organized, reasonably priced. Plus free real reindeer, hot cocoa, camp fires, wagon rides, and Santa! My granddaughter (6 months old) found out Santa's beard is REAL, she tried to pull it off. They even shake out the tree, wrap it in netting, and load it fire you, you have to tie it up yourself, although they will furnish twine if you need it. Overall I couldn't have been happier with our visit here. If you are thinking about going, go. It is a great experience, and great memories for you and your kids...
