Irvin Pitts Memorial Park — Attraction in Ware Shoals

Only gave it two stars bc this place holds a lot of good memories for me. What's wrong? Ware Shoals out of money? Taxpayers aren't paying? Noone is working for the state? I picked up trash while I was there for free, and I don't live there. It was a total of 13 cans. One placed strategically on every table . Also what really ticked me off was while the ducks are finally coming closer to me I notice fishing line and hooks, literally, everywhere. I was a nervous wreck.trying to protect the ducks from it and wondering if they were going to scare me. OH , DONT LET ME FORGET THE TURTLE TOE, that was laying on the ground . Yes it was a turtle toe. Like someone had cut it off Point being, , when does someone clean up here? The bathrooms we're worse than any I believe I have ever encountered. This was the first time I had been in nearly 20 years or more. We took our kids and 2 nieces for a few hours one afternoon. We brought our own grill and cooked hot dogs while the kids played in the river. I was surprised at the amount of trash on the ground, especially the broken glass. Awesome place to bring your sweetheart or family for a good time in the shallow Waters with rushing water in some places and calm in others. It is also beautiful and well kept open from dusk till Dawn. The only reason I gave it four stars is because you can't do much fishing because it's so shallow unless you're fishing for small brimm, unless you have brought some beach shoes or sandals or just rough it barefoot.
