Beautiful place to spend a sunny fall day. We spent our day on foot exploring the Quabbin Reservoir area, hiked the path through the woods, and took in the beautiful scenes. Due to Covid-19, the tower itself was closed, as were the public restrooms. (Not to worry... port-a-potties were available for public use; I guess those are immune to the virus somehow!) The parking was tough on this particular day, (Saturday of Columbus day weekend), so we parked our car in the tower parking lot and walked, walked, walked! It was nice to notice that the grounds are well kept, either by the staff or by the public respecting nature and not littering. It's too bad the visitor center was closed as I like to read some of the history, but it was a lovely day for a visit. I'm guessing another week before the colors are fully Autumn-like, but picturesque...

Live this location. Best on clear cool or cold days. Warmer days can be more crowded and full of loud children. I wouldn't mind the kids as much but the tower itself is completely encased with no air or sound escaping. It gets really loud and echo-y. It is also much warmer at the top and the summer it is almost unbearable. The views are nice but the glass/plexi view panels need to be replaced. Graffiti and age are showing haziness and the view could be better if not for that. Colder days are quiet and for that reason it gets the full five stars. The view outside is great also on less windy cooler days it can be great to drive and walk in all areas of...

Used to come here as a kid when visiting family in Massachusetts. Years later I have my own kids and bring them when we are in the area. The Quabin overall is a great area to get out and walk or run while enjoying nature. The dissapointment here is that the past few times I've been around the tower has been closed. It doesn't feel like there is any rush or plans to have it open soon. While it's still a cool place to stop by and check out I feel the best attraction for families would be the tower. I would rate 5 stars if the tower was open or seemed like it would open eventually as the grounds really are unique and provide those New...

The Quabbin Reservoir is the largest inland body of water in the state of Massachusetts, serving as the primary water supply for Boston and its surrounding communities. But to us, it’s also so much more. The area offers hiking and biking trails, paved paths for waterside strolls, picnic areas, and a fantastic observation tower that is open to the public AND FREE!😍 📍Ware,MA #thingstodoinmassachusetts #massachusetts #ware #resevoir #quabbinreservoir #quabbinobservationtower #hiking #biking #massachusettsrealtor #massachusettslife
