day 3 (10jun24) sanctuary 6: good well marked loop trails, i just did the widow's cove loop. yellow haze in woods was pine pollen! towhee poking around in leaf litter next to trail. two turkey poults on trail hurried back to their momma when she whistled for them. about 8 followed her through the woods. osprey nest on pole next to beach and another on telephone pole in field near parking. will definitely stop here on way to cape to stretch my legs and eyeballs.

Several adjoining parcels through a sprawling expanse of coastal habitat - highly suitable for birdwatching and day hiking. Recent additions and upgrades to the property have enhanced the experience.

Lovely little area with very well maintained trails. Lots of trail markers and signage. Not a ton of scenic vistas, but just the right place to bird watch and enjoy the woods.
