Warminster Community Park — Attraction in Warminster Township

This is a very nice and spacious park. Long drive in and a little difficult to locate without a map...off the beaten path. Lots of paths to run climb and ride, skate, etc... great playground, good kids, parents present amd watching so it seems safe. Space to ride little bikes and scooters in fenced in Safety Town for little ones. Bathroom facility is open and there are picnic tables that are under a roof so you don't get wet if you have a little rain. Parking lots needs more shady spaces but at least there were a couple. Close to Costco, if you have trouble finding entrance Google map to maps.

Cons: when they rebuilt the park they made a lot of mistakes that were better when they had the old park. The old park was more handicapped accessible because it had ramps and shade. The park now has no shade in the playing area so when it's a hot sunny day kids are just out there baking. The new park is nice but there was no need to take away...

Nice park, i love the "safety town" for learning to ride bikes and play hide and seek. A few negatives: the wood chips on the ground are terrible. I wore flip flops the first time and had splinters between my toes. My daughter fell and had a splinter jab her hand. They also hold water and make huge puddles after rain. A floor system like the one at Northampton Park would be better; Theres very little for smaller kids to do, and only two seat-swings for small kids; theres no umbrellas or shade trees for sitting under, especially for parents and babies, the only grassy area near the playground is not mowed, and full of prickers... not good for kids who want to run and play tag (without fear of falling...

Huge place! Definitely no shortage of parking.. I really wish they'd done more with the old runway. Some of it has been converted to playground and basketball courts but there is still so much that's just parking. Pickleball, tennis, deck hockey, lots more options to maximize the usage are left desired. Otherwise a lovely walk!
