The event itself was rather nice: it is a fairly large festival with numerous booths, very friendly and pleasant people, and many dining options. It has a great Wisconsin feel to it. Unfortunately, I can't rate it 5 stars due to the following:
There are absolutely no tables or benches where you can sit and eat. You end up eating while standing, which isn't always very convenient.
There were only a few vendors selling actual cranberries and food with cranberry flavors. It was a big disappointment to me, as I love cranberries! I was really hoping to see more cranberry beverages, sweets, maybe even meat and sandwiches with cranberry sauces. Most food was just your typical fast food you'd see at some fair or festival.
Large sections of the event felt like a flea market. Only a limited number of vendors offered local arts and crafts or handmade goods. I was hoping to see more Wisconsin-made merchandise.
Overall, I had some mixed feelings about the place due to these three factors mentioned. I am hopeful they may take some of this feedback into consideration and perhaps make some...

Read moreWe have attended all but 2 times in the last 24 years and always enjoyed it very much. We leave home at 5 am in order to get to our favorite 'yard' to park by 7. Last year, we decided to skip this year because we were very disappointed but went again this year in hopes of things improving. We also wanted to find a dealer who has been there for years, with a unique and 'normal' household product but couldn't remember where he was. After asking around the whole fair and at the information booth - with no luck, we finally found him just before leaving. NO one knew where he was and he always takes up a very large area. What is that about? Our main concern, though, is the loss of many unique craftspeople from all over the country. Instead, there are way too many furniture places, clothing and Halloween (+ other repetitious ones). Several other 'regulars' are not there anymore, either. We won't be...
