This is a great location for shooting long guns outdoors, and an okay location for handguns. There are several stalls, maybe about 12 to 15, that are covered. You can shoot from a standing or seated position on their concrete stands and seats. Most of the lanes are 100 yards, but there are 4 lanes (two on each side) that are 50 yards. Some people bring targets they can stake into the ground so they can have a closer target. The cost for the permit is just over $30 and is good from July 1 to June 30. You can bring one guest on your permit. There is no range officer, so one of the participants will need to declare him or herself a range officer. It used to be free to shoot here, but now you either have to buy a range use permit for 30 bucks a year, or have a current hunting or fur trapping license. The state game wardens do come around on occasion and check to make sure everyone has the proper license or permit to shoot here.    Read moreBeen coming for years. They have done alot . I remember when they just had tables and just a single rifle range with 25 50 and 100 yards and long wait times . Now they have concrete tables with rubber pads , dedicated pistol range , shotgun and still the same rilfe range. But the wait to start shooting has dramatically been cut down . I go 2 to 3 times a month. I always bring pistol rifle and shotgun and I rarely have to wait to start shooting. If the rifle is range is occupied I go to either the pistol or shotgun and by the time I'm done there usually is a spot open in the rifle range.
