We had attended Farmamerica for a field trip with kids for my work. Absolutely loved the experience to listen to and enjoy the simplicity of how people used to live. The Blacksmith was one of my favorite parts as well as the kids. He actually shows you how they molded things and at the very end, he tried to nail a mini horseshoe (to show everyone an important job) to one of the adults. I was chosen for that but my shoes were soft soled and didn't really work. However he made it a lot of fun with tons of laughs! One of my other favorite parts were seeing the school house and some fun games they used to play like stilts. They also have special event kind of days too. We had gone for the Halloween event and it was a day full of adventure and fun! All the people were kind and excited to see all the kids enjoy "trick or treating", planned activities, fun pumpkin painting and so much more. I will definitely be keeping Farmamerica on my list to attend for future events!

I love Farmamerica! If you are the type who loves to tour old houses and also learn about farming and the way of life in the 1800's to early 1900's, this is the place for you! We have gone in the summer as well as in the winter for their Winter Charm on the Farm event. Just be prepared to walk, and bring a stroller or baby carrier for the baby! The gravel path all around and mowed grass around the buildings makes for it to be relatively easy to push a stroller, but a wide stroller would have trouble fitting through narrow doorways of the older buildings on the site. Bathrooms in the entrance/visitors center and an "outhouse" about halfway through the walking path. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming.

My 4 year old son and I just attended the 'Pumpkin Party'. This event was magnificent!! We had fun at every stop along the route around the grounds! Getting to pick a pumpkin and paint it, was great. Of course the petting zoo was a hit. The piano in the church could have stolen the show if not for the awesome wagon ride we had. Pretty full going to the pumpkin patch. Everyone got off there and then just us, so we took the captain spot at the very front and my son laughed almost the rest of the route. Thank you FarmAmerica for having this event!!!

My family and I made plans to visit. When the time came, we travel the one hour just to be turned away bc of schools coming and the public wasn't allowed to visit at the time. That's understandable. But they should have a public schedule of when the public isn't allowed to visit so the public doesn't show up. My children were crying when they found out they couldn't stay. And I was upset that my time and gas was wasted on something that could have been easily posted on your website but wasn't. It's questionable if we'll give you guys a real shot bc we'll never know if you're ever actually ever open to the public or not....
