A wonderful afternoon at a long-standing park.
It's been a very long time since I was here last, probably 2 decades. It was informational, clean, and refreshing for the spirit.
Beyond the very nice nature center with several species of turtles on display, they have several paths clearly marked with distance and other features. I took the reflecting path and very much enjoyed walking along the waterways and crossing bridges. I saw a turtle in the wild, which plopped off the log he was on and swam away as I approached, along with several chipmunks and other wildlife.
The bathrooms were well maintained, and the nature center has several chairs and viewing windows to feeders so you can relax and watch the animals before you eat hungrily.

Read moreIt's a wonderful little place for kids to look around in, and my daughter's scout troop has even had it where they can hold snakes and things like that...I mostly walk around all of the trails and love taking pictures of all of the wildlife! Then (if the building is open during business hours) I can even walk in and show the pictures to staff and they can tell me exactly what it is! There's plenty of shade in the trails for hot days and there's many different ones, so you can take a short walk or spend a few hours taking in the nature...they all lead back to the building so you don't have to worry about getting...
Read moreReally nice park with maintained trails for runners, hikers, bikes, and skiing. Johnny Rev and I stopped at the nature center and walked the trails behind the center. The signs along the way were nice to see where we were and they showed the different routes you could take. We didn't check the weather and ended up getting rained on but it was still a great adventure. We also saw quite a few wild turkeys out.
