Went here specifically for a car that was the same color as 1 a buddy has.
It was also a few days after some major snow around the st louis area so some of the yard had some good amount of snow on it. But I bet if your already out here a little anow doesn't bother you as your saving some money on pulling parts yourself.
I keep up checking the websites for this location alot because they are very good at updating what comes in and taking a nice amount of pics.
Be mindful of how long some of these vehicles have been on the lot because they can get picked apart quick.
We were lucky to score a nice oem hood that was the same color as my buddies car.
50$ for the hood Plus a core of 10$? And if you want and 90 day free return, you can pay another 15$
We ended up taking off his stock hood in the parking lot and returned it on the spot for our core return fees back
It was 59$ which i didn't think was too bad.
The cars are all on concrete and are sorted in nice rows and can follow the organization easy
It's 3$ to enter. They will give you a print out at the counter if your looking for a specific vehicle part. which will include the rows and spot number of the cars on their lot.
There were 4 similar mustangs we looked at all at various stages of being parted out.
The location is easy to get to and the employees were nice.
I have visited this location many times in the past and always have good luck finding what I need in a timely manner.
Check the website daily because you can find some good deals on parts you may need and you may save some cash not having to...
Read moreThere is not an option for negative stars. I am reluctantly leaving 1 star even though this grossly overstates the quality of my visit. I am 47 yrs. old and this was the most horrible experience of customer service
I will admit, I was frustrated and aggravated. I walked about for a couple hours in 100 degree heat for absolutely no reason. I went to LKQ and not one of the smaller yards, because I expected that LKQ would have knowledgeable staff members capable of conducting themselves professionally. I was wrong! I only needed a used part. Instead, I was provided the worst possible experience. I was given a list of cars of which not one had the part I needed. I was heckled by the staff including the Person in Charge of the LkQ Facility in Washington Park, as she let it be known that she wanted me to enjoy O'Reilly's. She then proceeded to tell my 10 year old Son how horrible I was and that he did not have to be anything like me. Then the overfed cashier screams out, "were there cars out there?" Really? She then pulls out a piece of paper, flips it over, and starts to read the "crawfish clause". I have worked for some very reputable businesses in the St.Louis Area and NEVER have I seen any employee start reading the microscopic terms or conditions as a means of supporting their inability to conduct business with some degree of integrity. I hope that LKQ provides the video and audio, of the lobby, for those viewing this review. This place was a joke on this particular day. This place was a complete...
Read moreI had a terrible experience trying to return a bad engine today. As soon as I walked to the counter. I asked (Von) as he calls himself. If I could make a return on my locked up engine. He instantly looked at me. And said do you have a receipt? With a face as if I was bothering him. I said yes and he viewed the receipt. Then says the warranty is out of date isn’t it?. Then he realized he was off on his days and it was still covered. Then says let me see the engine. I showed him the engine. He told me to wait while he went to watch the cameras. I felt like I was being played against the warranty I was paying for at this point. 15 minutes later. He comes rolling out to my truck. Basically glances at the engine and says yea I can’t return this. I asked why he said that paint doesn’t look like mine on the engine block. I then tell him to possibly check the vin. He looks at the engine walks back into the little trailer. Comes back out. Hands me my receipt. Then basically says. Im not returning the engine. The vin doesn’t match the car. I was very confused at this. I asked him if the engine could’ve possibly been changed at some point in the car that I pulled the engine from causing some vin to not match. That I’m not sure if he even verified. He tried everything under the sun to not refund me for this blown up engine. If you want great service go to 111 Salvage. They treat you with respect and not as a criminal. I will be pushing this...
