Amberleigh Community Park — Attraction in Washington Township

Scheduled a birthday party in the pavilion for my 2-year-old grandbaby. The city said the site is first come first serve and no reservations could be taken. We showed up and set up for a party and about an hour in a city worker came by and tried to force us out. They said an event had been scheduled even though events could not be scheduled for this area. He called the police and caused a huge scene during a baby's birthday party. The police wound up letting us stay because this was a first come first serve area. If this is how the city allows their officials to behave we will definitely make sure we do...

Beautiful park with a lot of open space. The playground is for all age groups. The park is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were extremely clean which is a huge plus. My kiddos enjoyed the slides and swings. I love that there’s a playhouse area for the younger kiddos. There's a covered picnic area with a fireplace as well. Great area for families to have gatherings at. Overall, I’m highly impressed by this community park. Great job providing a safe and fun environment for families to enjoy. Great park for make believe but the parking is down a hill and a ton of stairs. The playground is NOT very viable from the only picnic area and we thoufht we lost one of our twins and panic for several mins until we realize she went from the playground around the picnic area to the bathroom in the back and we missed her because we were looking everywhere else. There is a huge grass area that could be used as some additional closer parking and/or picnic space so more than one party/gathering...
