Appalachian Trail — Attraction in Washington Township

The last half mile or so up to the trail entry point is a dirt road. It has some very deep ruts in it so you want to make sure the vehicle you're taking will not have a problem going along the road. I have a relatively low sedan and there was no issue but it was dry and I went very slow. Other than that there is parking for about four cars depending on how considerate the other hikers are. I went NE along the trail for just about two miles and it was a nice hike. It was uphill that entire direction but had I continued it would have started being downhill.
