Small park with picnic shelters and river access. Not much walking area, but easy to drive in and easy walk to river. Families were fly fishing in the river. River access doesn’t appear to be handicap friendly. The statue is of Chief Leatherlips who was said to always keep his word. You are not supposed to climb in the art, but children were doing it while I was there.

We went on a monday afternoon with our dogs and cat. Had a picnic lunch at one of several pavillions. It was peaceful and not many people were there. The grounds were very well kept and the atmosphere was serene. We spent about an hour here eating and letting the dogs explore. The cat was happy to chill out in the shade.

Beautiful sculpture in a beautiful park! All the area is well taken care of, public washrooms are super clean, there is water refill station, lots of parking, picnic area, a few benches and it’s all surrounded by beautiful nature. Definitely worth a visit!

This has been on my Ohio Bucket List for a while now, and I finally got a chance to visit. We visited on a Monday morning around 9am. Not a soul there other than a person walking their dog. There we're some daffodils coming up all around the monument. I wish we went a little later to see those in bloom. Overall, this sits in a nice, peaceful park with nearby bathrooms and plenty of parking. It's definitely...

nice park! if you read the plaque about leatherlips, it talks about him being a friend to white settlers (apparently so much so to be deserving of a monument), so I looked it up. Turns out he was selling the native land to settlers, and all his fellow natives hated his guts. They sentenced him to death and split his noggin open with a tomohawk. Get wrecked leatherlips you shouldnt sell out your...
