Mount Pleasant of Edinboro — Attraction in Washington Township

Been going here for years so it sucks that I have to give this low of a review. Almost every time I go to mount pleasant I end up getting hurt because some careless employee didn't do their job. Today I went tubing and I got hit in the face with the plastic lift while the employee was getting my tube set up. The employee didn't seem to care at all. Gave me a pretty good headache and a bloody mouth. In the employees defense there was a kid that was causing trouble and maybe he was paying attention to that, but I am not sure. I have always enjoyed coming here with people but honestly the carelessness is making me stay away. The lessons are nice, however, and I had a very good instructor when I first skiied years ago. It is a decent place but it needs some improving. I've gotten hurt here many times because of carelessness and honestly I was not surprised when it happened again today. It sucks because I was trying to have a nice date with my girlfriend and ended up getting hurt again. This is the best place to learn how to ski for the first time and also the best place to just enjoy the snow! My husband and I took the beginner class, and after that session we were able to ski in the beginner hill and even take the poma lift. All thanks to our amazing, very kind, professional, patient and super nice instructor - Maddison M. She's the best!!! Please request for her if you are new to skiing!!! No one could have handled my fears better than her. She is a great teacher. She knows the perfect words to say so you get exactly what you need to do to ski and be encouraged despite the downfalls. She believed that I can do the intermediate trail, when I doubted myself. And she was right!!! I survived it, and it was only possible because of her fantastic teaching skills, guidance and cheer. I'll definitely go back for more lessons with Maddi M. Even without lessons actually, we kept on coming back because the atmosphere of this ski resort is very relaxing. The price is very fair. They also have good food. Overall, I will definitely recommend...

What a wonderful little ski resort. For anyone wanting to get out on the slopes for a few runs at a very fair price, or in my case, with two little ones who you're introducing to the joys of downhill skiing, this place is near-perfect. The instructors for beginners are, in our experience, wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and effective at their job, making the experience fun and rewarding for my children. The bunny slope is VERY easy, so as to not intimidate even the youngest/newest skier. The lodge is small but cozy and sure to have a warm fire going, while the concession has the right amount of options for the family. The entire place has a very welcoming feel to it - as if you're part of the Mt. Pleasant family, regardless whether you have been there or not. While Mt. Pleasant will not have the number of lifts, trails, concessions, etc. that some of the other regional resorts have, I cannot recommend the place enough to anyone wanting a fun, stress-free, and overall pleasant...
