Took the tour of the mansion, fantastic, very informative, great knowledge by guide. Mansion is immaculate, well decorated with many original peices. Grounds are beautiful, view from 3rd floor of the mansion is spectacular... The buildings surrounding the mansion are well maintained and beautifully kept. Many old wagons and a sleigh. Nature center and visitors center are both very helpful and again knowledgeable. There is a beautiful lake, that has kayak and canoe access. The spillway by the mill is a gorgeous photo opportunity. The mill still has some working apparatus. There's numerous walking trails in the area that are well groomed and marked. The picnic area is clean. There's a small gift shop, a small interpretive area. You are within walking distance to the old church and cemetery. A ton of wildlife is in this park, whether it's birds, flowers ,trees or wildlife. Many opportunities for...

Go and spend...

Pilar, our guide, was very knowledgeable, & answered all our questions. Being historic, its not handicapped accessible & the steps can be steep at times. We were a small group on a weekday, so we were all able to see everything well, as she talked. Its sooo worth it. No reserving, so get to the visitor center early to get tickets, & walk over to the mansion. Visitor Center staff was very nice, & we looked at the history display there. We will go back & walk around more another day...
