My wife wanted to take a ride up and walk around for the day. I’m not as religious as she is but when we pulled in to the parking lot I really was getting a good feeling. I have a bad knee for years now and as soon as I got out of the car it started hurting. Much worse than it ever did before. We walked around and checked out everything. Checked out the outside chapel and prayed some inside. We stayed about two hours . Had to leave my knee was hurting more than I could stand it. The moment we pulled out to the main road the pain in my knee totally went away. It’s been a week now and no pain at all with my knee. Planning to return real soon. Something happened that day and if I didn’t personally experience it probably wouldn’t believe it. You definitely owe it to yourself to take a ride up and experience it yourself. Looking forward to our return trip. Going to try to get there for a Sunday Mass. Just a great peaceful...
Read moreOne of the best Catholic Shrines in the state, if not the country. Rosary trail, Station of the Cross gardens, plenty of walking paths..just a great way to refresh your spirit for the day. I was a little dissapointed with the Fr Machado weekend retreats, overpriced and overbooked, and the food was HORRID!! Father Machado and Father Paul put on a fantastic retreat, but I guess for $225, I expected a better variety of food. Don't get me wrong, you don't go on a retreat for the menu, I got it. But, it's like the staff didn't put forth any type of effort to supply good, hearty meals. Cold ceral for breakfast and a whipped up 10 minutes before sitdown - lunch and dinner. Nice gift shop, and overall just a wonderful spiritually uplifting place to renew and...

July 13th was especially sacred and inspiring, with Cardinal Raymond Burke leading the pilgrims in prayer and celebrating the Holy Mass in conclusion of the day's Mary-Thon. Took part via Internet, but Cardinal Burke, Chaplain of the Knights of Malta, really delivered the truth about the current state of the Church and that we need much penance to get the Church back on track, in his homily. Axios to Cardinal Burke. He is worthy of leading the Knights of Malta and the being an example to all...
