Banner Park is a fantastic place to go geocaching or to get a good amount of cardio in for the day. I'd recommend this place for anyone passing through or to local residents as a great way to spend time with nature and possibly friends if they tag along. Also, it is accessible for horses and pets to go and enjoy as well, allowing for quite a diverse park.

Although the sightings of Bigfoot here aren't fake, I've seen him (or her, not judging) here as well. Lately, he's been getting around, and frankly, at this point, it seems like he is just sightseeing. On another note, this location is great for hide and seek with friends as you might never find each other again depending on how well you hide. On my travels, I've found holes in the ground and even traces of a lost civilization of gnomes in this forest, so just keep your eyes on the ground for any other...

A lovely mature growth forest with lots of trails to explore. When you slow down, there's lots of things to check out.

I noticed some benches along the broader routes of trailways, not quite a picnic place, but there are places to catch your breath and have a snack.

Watch your step! Animal dookie on the main trailways.

Several folks on bikes during warmer weather days.

The park doesn't have trash recepticals, so everyone is expected to pick up after themselves and dispose of rubbish responsibility.

Forest animals live in the forest. Black bears, cougars, and coyotes may presently consider the forest part of their territory. Don't panic. Give them...

I barely even scratched the surface of this amazing place, but I will go back. Banner Forest is a good sized area of land, heavily forested, with walking trails zig-zagging and criss-crossing all throughout. I only spend maybe 30 mins here and walked about a mile loop or so and it helped give me perspective on the sheer size of this place. Take a picture of the map at the parking area to help find your way around, looks easy to lose your way. Plenty of old growth and moss to keep you looking about and overflowing with the beauty of the place. Highly...

This is a great park for hiking on trails through heavily wooded land. We only hiked about 2 hours so only covered a small fraction of the available trails. Make sure to check both sides of the bulletin board at the parking lot. On the back I found information on an the Maprika app to download. If you have a smartphone, definitely get this app! It saved us from getting lost several times. I didn’t see any restrooms but I don’t know for certain whether there are any available. We will definitely be back to this park.
