People complain about the limited parking space, BUT ITS FREE! HOWEVER, TOO MUCH of the parking space is taken up and reserved (wasted) for "the" handicapped. They need to change that, because you hardly ever see " legitimate " people park there and its basically wasted space. Some changes need to be made on that issue, for sure! The highlight is showing up on a good day when hardly anyone else is there. I.M.O, it's one of those locations that you would enjoy it best to have it all to yourself. Location is secluded and private ( meaning, it's not overly publicized as compared to other Camano parks, but still obviously open to the public.)

As others have mentioned, unfortunately there are no urination/defecation stations. I'd recommend for this park to, at least have 1 honey bucket. Its typically standard to provide some type of restroom setup for visitors at most...

I was looking for a walking trail to take my dog and kids that wouldn’t be too busy. This park fit the bill. The trail is sandy and meanders through grass and around driftwood. There’s a couple of small bridges to cross small water outlets and they are stable and in good condition. I wish the trail were longer as it was less than one mile down and back. The views are good and we spotted small birds, a heron, and two eagles and their nest. Overall the park was clean and felt very safe. However, we spotted a syringe and needle after we parked and noticed it at our feet when getting out of the vehicle. Please watch your surroundings. If you live in the area, you already know that unfortunately it’s common to see stuff like that from...

Very pretty beach, but by entering you are agreeing to be jumped on by wet dogs. As I learned, it is first and foremost an off-leash dog play area. A guy came down the path throwing sticks into the stagnant ponds along the way for his dog to chase. I got off the path for them to pass, but his dripping wet dog came running up to me anyway. I tried to decline the meeting, but was met with contempt that I would dare be offended that his wet dog wanted to jump on me. I was informed that this is a DOG area and if I didn't like it I should go elsewhere. Which is exactly what I did and will do...

Clean no garbage. Right on the sound. Plus a bonus.. you can walk on the sand flats.

A real hidden gem! Only ONE picnic table, albeit well constructed and Covered, removes a star. Oh, and no garbage cans. So, Pack it in - Pack it out. *And be a trooper & try to remove any extra trash you may encounter along the way. **Though you likely won't find much! LETS KEEP IT THIS WAY! (* To all of you who seem to be compelled to just toss your trash wherever, and cause us ALL to lose as a result.... Grow Up! )
