Hanson Ponds Park — Attraction in Washington

Small but Beautiful area with the ponds and river adjacent to each other with drive/parking down the center. Quite a bit of traffic noise from I90 on the opposite (North) side of the ponds. Dog friendly with limited paths for walking and numerous picnic tables in full sun scattered about. I believe the restroom is a newer (past year or more) addition We saw at least five other friendly pooches and there were at least a dozen cars parked here and there on our visit today. It was cold today but some people were out fishing. There's no sign or arrows so rely on Google maps to find the parking lot area. We first pulled in front of a little store, and there is only one sign saying to register so we were confused. Probably meant for RVs. Google maps shows a little road to the left of the store so we followed it. It's right next to the freeway so don't expect bird chirping sounds. Didn't see much for us to do there. Great little day spot for the family. The ponds are kept up by the Kawana club. The pond are juvenile and handicap only. So bring the kids and watch the smiles blossom. Don't forget to please pack out what you bring in. Only we can keep these places available for the next...
