Beautiful beach with lots of nice picnic tables, park benches, covered picnic areas, driftwood formations, and bbq pits. Have seen eagles, heron, seals, seagulls, crows, squirrels, and even the occasional whale while chilling here. Nice beach to walk on and even a fair bit of concrete for those of you who prefer to keep your sneakers clean.

There are a couple fun little hiking trails as well with lots of stairs and lovely views.

Awesome playground area with a very cool rope climbing piece for older kids who enjoy taking risks and experiencing a sense of danger or possibly might enjoy the thrilling and painful experience of breaking a limb (Ambulance has been here on a few occasions. 😆 Never for my kids thankfully.) My kids only complaints on this playground growing up were. A) They hated when it was time to leave and B) There is a cool little telescope on the boat themed jungle gym, but instead of it being situated for looking at the beach view and the water, it is situated so that through this super cool telescope... you just get to look right straight at the entrance to the bathrooms?

Lovely little open field area for frisbee, kites, bubble blowing, paper airplanes, catch, what have you. Scattered with tiny daisies in the summer... soggy and muddy enough to slip and sink in a bit for fun or folly during the winter. (Hey it's Washington that's just the way it is.)

Bathroom is decent.

Water spigots in the beach area. Nice to be able to wash up after a swim or soak of the toes.

Beautiful camping area, very pretty and peaceful with a great layout.

Generally park goers tend to be chill and keep to themselves around here, but due to the picturesque location you do have the occasional screaming social media Mom shrieking at her kids about how they "won't get cake unless they pose and smile" for the Insta less than a foot away from your picnic table for like a half an hour while you and your friends and family are trying to eat because apparently that one piece of driftwood next to your picnic tables is better to pose by than the hundreds? of other pieces of driftwood along the mile? long beach.

Also, always those lovely, "I know it says to leash dogs here, but MY dog is special and totally cool, so I'm going to let them off it and let them run up and bark aggressively in the very annoyed faces of you and your kids, for at least 5 minutes, telling you how friendly they are... or run up to your picnic area and soak you and all your food and beach towels and what have you in wet dog water... before I finally put the damn leash back on them and drag them away apologizing in a way that insinuates it is your fault my dog did it." type of people.

All in all a wonderful park and well worth the price of the pass. You can walk in (use one of the hiking trails, the road is narrow and dangerous), bike in, or have someone drop you off if you can't afford it. But, seriously, pay if you can and help keep this awesome park funded.

Stay for the sunset. You will be...

Very peaceful place to go sit and think look for shells Driftwood. They have an amazing dog that you can watch the scenery or fish off of if you have a license. It’s $10 for a pass for the whole day. They do have hurts but you can rent and camping during the spring and summer time. Look online for more details. It is very well-kept no garbage that I seen anywhere. They do have covered areas that have parties and barbecues every covered area has to barbecue pits that are on a metal stand as well as tables outside that are not covered. With its own burn/barbecue pit out there. It is very well laid out all the spots to sit and eat and barbecue are only 20 to 30 feet away from the water depending on tide level. This would be an area that you can take kids because There is a large playground in the middle of the site. At the far south end of it there is a large kitchen style outdoor area. There is three areas with large grassy fields to play. Plenty of parking along a quarter mile stretch of beach. I would highly recommend this place on a sunny day in the spring or summer and I would even recommend it on a winter rainy day if you enjoy looking at the scenery around the bay. I hope this helps have a...

The park is great, but the park service is lacking. I scheduled a birthday party at the south shelter for $150 for the day that was supposed to be clean and fully operable. When my husband and I went 2 weeks early to get dimensions we found that 1 of the sinks was not working and had a large ugly tarp on it. The website doesn't list this as being broken but when I asked a ranger he said it's been broken for 3 years. The day of the party, my sister and I arrived at 10am when our reservation began at 7am only to find large broccoli pieces in the 1 sink that did work and then we had to scrape tomato chunks off the table. During the party multiple people had to leave from the wasps that were swarming around the tables. I got stung multiple times as well. We thought that if wasps were a problem there would be at least wasp catchers for something that would keep them away more than just us leaving or at least a warning that it could be a potential problem. Along with those issues the bathroom by the kite was down so everyone continued to come to our area and mess the bathrooms up. We love that area but don't plan on having another party there since there were...

This campground was pretty secluded, which we actually really liked—it made for a peaceful stay. We reserved two spots for two nights. Our friends were in site #12 and had a tough time leveling their trailer—it was surprisingly uneven. We were in site #11, which was much easier to level out, thankfully. The campground has public restrooms with showers, but be aware that the hot water can be hit or miss if you're planning to use them. If you're hoping for quick access to the beach, it’s just a short drive away—only a few minutes. Walking there is definitely doable, but it takes longer and involves going down a very steep hill. Based on the map we looked at beforehand, we thought the water would be a bit closer than it actually was. One downside was that the playground was closed due to flooding, which was a bummer—my son would have really enjoyed it. Hopefully, they address the flooding issue soon and reopen it.

Welcoming and offers the full experience. Campsites are on the bluff above the water some offering stunning views of the western facing Olympic Mountains and Whidbey Island. Yurts are available for those looking for a getaway with out all camp gear. Large park area at waters edge brings a great experience for recreational sporting and entertaining of wee tots at the activity and discovery area. Picnic tables line the beach with fire pits for outdoor cooking and warmth during the off-season. The large pier brings endless possibilities for fishing and catching a like. Bring your pole, crab pots and night time squid gear. There is a small boat launch on the north side of the pier. This Snohimsh County operated park is slated for an overhaul This next year and should be bringing some renovated features to all who visit. Good job Snohomish County Parks. Cheers to you!

This is a cool Snohomish County park with lots of nice facilities. The beach is similar to any Washington state beach— lots of rocks and driftwood. There’s a pier that juts out into the sound that people fish from. There’s also a playground with really fancy equipment, including a rope tree that you can climb on. Try to get here early in the day because it definitely fills up. Many of the pavilions need to be rented ahead of time (if you try to book one while you’re there, you won’t be able to; the website only lets you book the facilities two days beyond the present). This is a great park for picnics and walks. We went here for Mother’s Day and everyone had a fantastic time.
