Visited Pend D-Oreille refuge in mid-September 2019. Started with driving the auto tour loop counter-clockwise. The road on the west side was in good condition and wide. The turn to head north is poorly signed, the refuge would get 5 stars if hadn't missed the turn. Heading north the road was less traveled and more narrow.
