A must visit area in WA state!! I highly recommend venturing out to the part of the forest near and encompassing Baker Lake-there is a sweet boat launch known as PSE Baker Lake Boat launch and seasonal swimming area there that is open based on water levels of the lake being high enough (no lifeguard on duty). Also nice campgrounds and areas to backcountry camp (with permit) and hiking trails. There is a snow park back there in winter, too. Amazing views of Mt.Baker and Mt.Shuksan from that area without driving all the way to the ski area😀There are several areas with restrooms and garbage cans for waste generated during your visit; the Baker Lake Information Area and Shadow of the Sentinels trailhead have vault toilet bathrooms as does the PSE Baker Lake Boat launch. You will need a NW forest pass to visit the Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest; a Discovery Pass is not considered acceptable for access. I personally would get one online before heading out and plan for the few days it will take to arrive, but I do believe they are available for purchase in person out in Sedro Woolley-google that because I kinda forgot. But trust me, this is a stunning area in all seasons. It tends to be pretty hot in summer and shady parking spots and backcountry campsites along the lake can be taken up very quickly. Prepare for that element with sunscreen, loads of extra liquids to...

This was another amazing time adventuring and overcoming fears this experience produced a sense of pride accomplishment I felt rewarded with the most beautiful memories.

My husband and I took off for a night on Mount Baker - Artist Point we planned hiking up to Lake Ann however we arrived around 3pm, so we ended up hiking up Table Top which was amazing as most of our hikes are.

However, I have never hiked in the dark and I have only hiked on paths that look like clear trail.

The (path/trail) My husband took us on didn't look like a (path/trail) at all, but he kept assuring me the path/trail we were on was the right trail.,

Needless to say we made it to the top we enjoyed watching the sunset.

Soon after the dark consumed the Mountain as we headed down.

I was scared pissed, bitchen and complaining. I had to stop myself because, I was rendering myself helpless. I am not helpless!

I shut my mouth handled my business.

When we arrived at camp from the hike in the dark we had a campfire by the van, dinner and roasted marshmallows.

Though what I went through, and having calm myself and realize my husband didn't bring me out here to scare me but to challenge me and the challenge I passed, even though I didn't think I could at moments.

The pictures are of this adventure.

We saw a meteor, a mountain goat and some...

After long days of hiking and exploring, the first thing I do is set up camp and find a yummy snack. I recently discovered these amazing @QicoBay flossers to use after enjoying my snack. is fantastic because they are reusable, which means you won't be generating waste like typical flossers. Its refill, called a floss capsule, can be used for 3 months each! These flossers have been a game-changer for the environment and road trips. Plus, I love the wide variety of cute colors they come in, making it even more enjoyable. Use the code "LS20" for a 20% discount on QicoBay.com and FREE SHIPPING when you buy a flosser . It's the BEST deal ever, but only until July 31st. Don't miss out! #qicobay #oralcare #oralhealth #flosser #floss #travel #vanlife #ecofriendly #zerowaste #zeroplastic #rv #outdoor #adventure #trip #tripgear #roadtrip #journey
