So beautiful! Is a secluded lovely walk mostly uphill headed in and downhill headed out although not too steep- I'm not in the best shape and this was not ddifficult at all if capable of slow elevation climb. We only walked like a quarter of the trails and I'm excited to go back and see more normally it's very busy we went close to dark when it was raining lightly so we had an amazing peaceful quiet walk to ourselves.... That's part you don't have to go far and you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere even though civilization is right there a few miles either way.... A lot of the trails are really wide and well kept some of them get a little bit narrower deeper in But still perfect for your average person. There's even a section for only foot traffic because the park is awesome and it welcomes horses and Pedal bikes. From what I looked at from the trailhead map and online there's rough leave 13 to 14 miles worth of trails you can walk throughout the area and the forest is dense enough that even though it's a small Section of woods it feels vast... I can't wait to go back and explore the other 3/4 we haven't seen yet... After a long time missing the outdoors and living more rural since I've moved into the middle of my town about 18 months ago it's amazing to me any chance I get to be able to go experience that fresh air and minimal stress that places like this have to offer More similar to where I used to live Where there's just peace from the stress of the hustle and bustle of the "New Version West Coast"! God-bless any of the few places left along the West Coast corridor that are untainted and when you walk through these woods it feels like...

Great place for a hike close to the city. There's enough varied terrain that will provide a bit more variety if someone is looking to change up their routine walking route (though I did see some joggers. Just keep an eye for uneven spots, bicyclists, horses and their poop, as it's a multi use trail that can get fairly narrow).

The scenery is gorgeous! I felt like I was out on the peninsula in some areas. There are several different loop options and on the map, we thought the area would be much bigger as the few sites that mentioned distance gave a range of mileage from 5-10. The Mainline trail is about 3 roundtrip (doesn't loop. Goes to residential street and trailhead parking lot). The walking trail is .4 and loops back to the Mainline. There are more. The longest one I believe was 4.4 which we're planning on going back to explore. There's one that is for bicyclists only and is a one way trail I think from the street.

For Pokemon players, there are Pokestops on the walking trail and a gym at the trailhead! There are a couple more along the Mainline, but I lost connectivity further down into the woods. Along with the usual Pokemon I expected, I also caught a tentacool and magikarp. I think magikarp was lost and tentacool was sitting in as the Northwestern Tree Octopus.

One site I came across before going, said there was a restroom. It's a disability accessible Porta potty. Bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The stall was out of both on Memorial Day when we went, and the toilet was getting...

Updated 2/8/21: I have been here several more times and haven't had any issues with the parking lot area yet. The trails are a little muddy right now in certain areas where there's less tree cover. It's still a great place for mountain biking.

The parking is limited but I've always found a stall. I do see cars parked outside the gate along the main road sometimes - so that's an option. I did see broken auto glass on the ground one day but I've never seen any suspicious activity or loiterers in the parking lot. There is a Port-A-Potty in parking area. The trail is used by mountain bikes and there are often vehicles arriving and leaving, so I don't worry too much. The lower parts of the trail are easily accessible to people hiking and I often see younger children. The trail signage is great! There are lots of loops - I don't think getting lost here would be easy. Further up the trail, the trails narrow a bit and the fallen leaves obscure some of the roots in the Fall. I think it's a great trail for mountain biking - there are some technical areas. I've included a map of one trail loop but there are...
