This park is pretty nice for a leg stretch, view, potty break (clean and plenty of paper), or place to let the kiddos play on the pirate ship playground equipment or roam the beach. However if you're planning to launch here you might think about your options. There's three ramps (two with a dock between them) and a ton of boaters will be scrambling to quickly launch all at the same time (Of course slightly less than 1/2 will have any idea how to do so!) against what sometimes is a pretty good current. Once you pull away the parking lot will be tight and full. Do not be surprised to find your trailers fenders bent or lights broken by one of those same afore mentioned folks who have no idea how to handle...
Read moreVery small park located very close to the Hood Canal Bridge, WA. A "jungle gym" type boat needed some serious preservation work but the swings were in good condition. Ample parking. Restrooms were closed for the season but a port-a-potty was available. The grounds were well maintained. especially the beach area; no trash, garbage or large piles of rotting seaweed. Beautiful and peaceful view of the Hood Canal. Water was Crystal clear.. I believe I saw some type of pier also ? Ample shade trees and a good place for a picnic. The park: This is the type of park that you bring your grandparents to so that they can sit at a picnic table and watch the grandkids play in the playground. Grass, picnic tables, etc...
The beach: It's okay. Not a destination beach by any means. There are much better beaches nearby.
