Shaw County Park — Attraction in Washington

Paddled here as part of the Cascadia Marine Trail. In late September, we were the only people in the entire campground (including car powered!). The tide goes ridiculously far out at low tide. The campground itself was clean. Several spots for kayak access tents in a larger shared space. A bit of a walk up from the beach but no more than 5 minutes. Water was provided and a pit toilet. Great little campground with a nice sandy beach with a very shallow boat ramp. Water was not as good as in previous years, so it's good to bring your own. Very quiet, with a nice picnic shelter available for day use. Firewood available for purchase. Offshore mooring available. Lovely, quiet small park. Shaw Island is a gem as is this park in particular. The sites are rustic and they don't allow RVs (there isn't room!) so there's no generators running. The beach is amazing and the rangers are friendly...
