Lots of fun animals to watch with pretty scenery. I intended to get exercise walking around while my husband went on a bike ride nearby but ended up spending most my time watching nature instead. There were so many adorable tiny chipmunks running around, lizards, ducks, and more. Talked briefly to a kid fishing in the water there. The only downside of the day was the summer heat & seeing what looked like 2 ducks trying to drown another duck, or maybe they were trying to mate? The duck seemed distressed so another girl & I scared them apart from each other, just in case. I plan on going back again, but next time with sunscreen and cold water. Beautiful place. It was good for my soul.

This is one of my favorite parks to visit because it has a miles-long bike path where I see birds. I saw a Cooper's hawk near the pond today. The western trail is shorter but weaves through pastures with good tree canopy. 3 weeks ago I saw a great horned owl sleeping in a tree. Today I walked the eastern trail that follows the Virgin River through a pretty deep gorge. The photos show this trail with homes topping the gorge. It ends at a residential area. This trail gets more traffic than the western side, which ends near the industrial park by Costco.

This park has a lot of great features! There are soccer fields, a duck pond, a playground and bike/walking trails. When we got to the playground there weren't any other people there so the kids got the run of the place. It lasted about 20-30 min before they were ready to head out and do something different. The features are more fitting for a little bit older kids (I'd say about 4+). The bike trail is really fun, not too crazy, but a few decent hills to get your heart pumping.

Fishing pond is okay if those visiting would NOT TORMENT the ducks & geese!!! Many times over and over I've witnessed people (adults, teens, & children) chasing the birds until one eventually gets hurt trying to escape and trying to feed the ducks and geese unacceptable items. Sadly, worst of all witnessed, children and adults playing games by casting fishing lines at the ducks and geese to see who can 'hook' one first!! What's wrong with you people?!?! Those fishing would respect others and other wildlife by clean up after themselves (fishing line & hooks), that'd be wonderful!! Several times I've personally had to remove hooks from the poor ducks. Why would people be so disrespectful to a beautiful park with so much to enjoy? Respect the fact there's others besides themselves fishing and enjoying the open space. Lastly, the traffic from constant soccer camps, practices, and games gets old fast! Living close to park is aggravating due to large volumes of traffic on holiday and regular weekends. Hard to get out of our neighborhood because of the large volumes of people coming and going. Not a nice and quiet park to visit unless visiting during the week in the morning or early afternoon hours. Sorry for raining on your park, just want everyone to know that there's a real problem with people disrespecting our innocent and beautiful creatures that DON'T DESERVE to be treated like that. Please help with the problem, see anyone who is harming the animals, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REPORT THEM TO THE POLICE AND DWR (Division of Wildlife Resorces). Thank you so much for your time...

This park has so much to offer. We visited this park on 6/20/21. We brought ten kids to play in the water features. It was 108 degrees. When we arrived we found the waterfall wall feature turned off, but perhaps that was to conserve water? The kids had so much fun playing in the splash pad area for about 10 minutes, but then the water turned off. We couldn't see a way to turn it back on so we figured it was a short break and the water would come back on soon. We sweated it out for 20-25 minutes waiting and it never turned back on. We realized the water had turned off around 5pm. If the splash pad is going to be turned when it is still so hot with hours of daylight perhaps there could be a sign posted with the hours? It could even be a sign where the numbers could be changed by a park employee as the...

Very nice hike. A tennis shoe hike. Wheelchair accessible. Drive into the parking lot and past the soccer fields and the trail is accessed at the end of the parking lot. Trail is paved all the way with the exception of a 600ft wooden boardwalk. Nice scenery, runs along the Virgin River and past a couple of dormant volcanoes. Only elevation gains are a couple of sections with about 60ft of gain. Mostly flat or slightly sloping. About 2.12miles one way. It's an in and out trail/walk. It also has a split off that will take you through the Hell Hole trail in Washington, not to be confused with the one of the same name, in Santa Clara. That part will take you to the trail head at Telegraph Rd and...
