This is a beautiful, lushous green, wild flower filled multi-use trail (pedestrians, cyclists, and esquestrians) on Hamilton Mountain, which is located within Beacon Rock State Park. It leads to the Hardy Ridge Trailhead, the Saddle Viewpoint, and the Hamilton Mountain Summit. If you are starting at the base of Hamilton Mountain Trail (parking is across the street from the Beacon Rock Trailhead) and planning to hike to the Summit, when you do reach this trail, it is a little longer of a distance to Hamilton Mountain Summit, but it is not as steep; the elevation is more gradual, or, you can stay on the Hamilton Mountain Trail and go a shorter distance, but it is quite a bit steeper. Purchasing a Discovery Pass at only $30.00 annually, compared to a $10.00/day fee, makes it definitely worth it, and what I would suggest. This trail is in excellent condition, so please do your part in keeping it that way so that everyone can enjoy its beauty! 💚🙏🏼

Two camping spots for equestrians. With room to fit more rigs in if in the same group. fire pits with picnic tables for each camp spot. One very long cable highline for horses. Trails have a lot of gravel so shoes recommend but the views at the top are worth it. There is supposed to be stock water at camp but it’s not hooked up so bring your own.

This is a horse/ bike train for the most part its about 2 miles to the Hardy ridge loop that has some very impressive west facing views If the main Hamilton Mt gets too crowded this is a good alternative

Access dirt road to the trailhead is not in the best shape, but it's still passable by passenger cars. The parking area is small so on busy days you may not find any available spot. There is also restroom at the parking lot. The parking is not free and the area is frequently checked by park rangers so don't even think of risking to park there...
