Read moreBeautiful location with iconic views. Very popular so it can get quite crowded. The inside of the building is amazing, as are the view is looking out over the Columbia River Gorge.
I docked a star, since Crown Point can get rowdy at night and around sunset, and people vaping at times. Which can be a problem if you have young kids or if you're allergic to tobacco. If you happen to go when it's not rowdy however, it's a 5 star view and definitely one worth seeing once.
It's also a great place to begin or end your trip up and down to scenic Hwy 30 corridor. Once you leave here you'll go down road, following the curves on the way down and passing several spectacular waterfalls. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, you need a timed entry pass to access Crown Point and Hwy 30 during most of the day and evening. This is done due to overcrowding during the peak summer season.
If you've never been the Crown Point or down Highway 30 doing the waterfalls, this is definitely a place to go. The views are amazing as are the vast number of waterfalls in a relatively small area along Hwy 30. It's National Park beauty in a small...
