Bend in the River Regional Park — Attraction in Watab Township

Very nice old farmstead and home, with lots of history! Make sure you view all of the buildings, and read the signs! There are 3 overlooks of the Bend in the Mississippi River! Both from an upper perspective, and also the Lower bluffs. Bring bug spray, and your camera! There is also a picnic table eating area and parking on the south end of the park, which you don't see, unless you're leaving the Main Entrance, and looking for the brown sign that points to the South entrance. I love this hidden gem. It is the site of an old farmstead along the Mississippi River. Many of the buildings are still.there. you can't get into them but get a good sense of how it used to be. Easy walking trails. Over 2 miles of trails with overlooks of the river and a place for bird watching. Nice picnic area....
