Cabot Farmers' Store - Waterbury, VT. ☆☆☆☆ Well I do ❤ Cheese and Cabot Farm Store has lots and lots of that wonderfully tasty treats. This store has a variety of products from cheese boards, crackers, chips, jams, jellies, candies, sour cream and butter to their local Maple Honey.

Honestly, it's just a lovely store to visit. As we walked in we were greeted by a very nice gentleman with a Cabot Apron, there was a long double sided sample table behind him with a very large selection of bite sized cheeses on it. As you got closer there were very clear instructions posted on the table to take toothpicks and sample the cheeses and then dispose the toothpicks after each use.

But, (and this was my only complaint & why I gave it a 4☆ instead of a 5☆, ) this was not the case several people used the same toothpicks in each of the sample pails. As I attempted to explain to a couple of customer's (pointing to the signs on the sample table) that it was a health violation to re-use their toothpick, the response I was given was "I'm only picking the one I'm eating." This did gross me out a bit, and I stood back a few moments to really tried to understand, but some of the customers were children and well enough with that.

I did find some very delicious tasting cheeses to buy that I haven't seen locally andI was very pleased with my choices.

Once you make your cheese and other selections you walk into another room where the cash register's are. Also in that same room, there are several glass refrigerator doors; behind them were the cheeses and many other products for buying. The items seemed very reasonably priced. Thanks Cabot...

I love this place so much! When you walk in, you are greeted with an abundance of cheese. You can choose from any type you prefer. They even have flavors that you may not see when you live. For me, that was the Tuscan Herb flavor. Then you move to the next section of the store which has more artisanal cheeses. They even had Jasper Hill Farm cheese which I have been searching for a long time. There was a guy making grilled cheeses samples with apple butter which was absolutely incredible. There were a great variety of crackers. They had free samples of cheeses, wine, and cheese and jam pairings. They had kitchen tools that you can buy for parties or just every day use. One of the workers told me they designed this store to guide you through the steps of making a charcuterie board! Genius. This place was incredible. I highly recommend this location if you are visiting Vermont. Make sure to check the hours because they are not open on certain days.
