It's a nice place to swim and enjoy the sun and sand. My family got there early to secure their spot on the beach. The water was cool but not freezing. We had a mini coal grill. Gas cans are not allowed! It was $15 for a whole day parking. You can pay cash, card or check.
The parks are not cleaned regularly. My mom cleaned the spot we were at and picked up about 4 bags of trash and a broken TV.
Another thing you need to look out for is little animals in the water. My sister and boyfriend walked out with little animals sucking on their skin. Like tiny brown leeches?? But only they got them. They came off easily when my mom sprayed hydrogen peroxide on the animals.

Read moreI had booked a campsite and paid for it. Check in was nice. We felt like we had the whole campsite to ourselves. We noticed a couple camping by the bathroom. I think they were on drugs and living in their car because they screamed all night. At 6am a cop was banging on our trailer door. He confirmed our campsite, but acted rude and said we needed to put the sticker in our car higher in our window. Then he drove down and took care of the couple. Everything was nice till that cop came around. He had a paper with who paid and who didn't so it was kind of rude and left a nasty taste...
