The city had done such a great job making this park enjoyable and functional. The Watervliet rocks club has been hiding rocks down the trails, so it's so much fun to take the kids or young at heart on a hunt for treasures to rehide. They recently added a pavilion with seating right by the playground, and you can use the ball fields when they aren't in use for rec ball games. There's a skate park and basketball courts, and you can fish the river from one of the floating decks. The park has several locations for picnics and they even have a disc golf course you can play.
