Tricky place to rate. 5 stars for stellar scenery (better than Th. Roosevelt park), nice campground with flat spots for tenting, but lacks info on trails and access. Read on other sites that trails are not well marked, so we did not attempt to find them. Tip for anyone using google maps to go from here to North unit of Th. Roosevelt park: do NOT choose the shortest route option (the one that is around 38 mi instead of like 55)!!! Thank goodness bc most of the tent area, although lovely with lots of trees and right on the water, is mostly very hilly...only room for maybe 4 tents...and only about 4 moveable tire rim fire pits anyway.    Read moreOnly stayed here one night on the way to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. What a gem! Nice campsites with 50/30/20A electric. Each site has picnic table and fire ring. Water spigots but not individual water hookups. Nice showers - free for campers. Vault toilets. Dump station. Picnic shelters. This was designed as a campground for folks with trail horses - there are corrals and horse trails. Not much shade, but beautiful grass throughout. Beautiful views of Little Missouri...
