Monterey Bay — Attraction in Watsonville Water Treatment Plant

Monterey Bay is probably one of the most pristine beautiful places in the United States! I have lived ALL over the U.S. in my life, but when I was ready to retire, this was the place for me. (AND I've never regretted moving here)! Monterey bay is a natural paradise. The wildlife explodes from this place. Whales, dolphins, sea otters, deer, flying arsenals of pelicans and snow geese! Seals are everywhere and you can hear the males barking for miles! One never tires OF A trip to the beach, or a drive ALONG the bay or the ocean! WATER sports OF all kinds are available, from kayaking, to sailing, TO wind surfing and board surfing! Just to stroll along the HUNDREDS of miles of Paths ALONG the bay is time well spent! THE rocky shore gives children and adults alike an opportunity to view sea creatures in the tide pools! ( I saw an octopus THE other day) ! Otters can be seen from the shore frolickknf and playing with their babies as they ride the waves on their BACKS! Whales can also be seen spouting a couple hundred yards from shore, AND some times they'll leap out of the water and splash down, shooting water into the air. Dolphins (usually traveling in packs) can be seen PLAYING and jumping through the waves. At times you might be lucky enough to catch a (FEEDING FRENZY) where seals, dolphins, pelicans, and other sea birds defend ON A school of small fish and they all go crazy FIGHTING for their share of the feast. It ends AS quickly as it begins as the small fish are devoured or head for deeper water to avoid the predators. If there is such a thing as "PARADISE"? Monterey Bay fits the bill! One of the most beautiful places on earth is Monterey Bay California. The water is crystal clear and the scenery spectacular. It's as close to "living in a post card" that you'll ever get..... Fore golfers. Monterey Bay is "Golf Heaven". The Bay is surrounded by World Class Golf Courses. Most notably "Pebble Beach". If your going to play any of these courses it's best to book your t-time well in advance. Sometimes a last minute t-time may be possible using the inter-web.

Like San Francisco to the north Monterey Bay weather can fool you. The warmest time of year is September, October and November and you can freeze your backside June, July and August. (mornings and late afternoons especially) So make sure and pack some warm clothes if your visiting in the summer.
