Best Park Ever! #waukeeiowa #keystonehomes

It’s a very beautiful park for kids with lots of safety and games, slides, musical stuff. Flooring is too good n very safe- will get too hot in summer so be careful. Age group 5 to 12. 7AM to 10PM. Parking is ample. Fishing space adds more fun to it. Enjoy ! Drawback - Have seen really big kids climbing to the top most slides roof and jumping on all the roofs of slides and coming down the sides ways when little toddlers and kids are playing around. If the big kids loose grip and fall it can cause major accidents for little kids. The pond area is just adjacent to play area and the pond is not fenced or marked with playground . Have seen kids going too close to the pond without and with supervision near it - the pond has downward slope so high chances of accident if not attended. Same goes to the bridge corners. This is an amazing park. It’s laid out very well and while the playground area is the focus, the 3 separate baseball field pods (4 fields in each) are very impressive too. The park can get busy, so anyone with younger kids should be aware that some older kids do run around pretty fast playing tag etc… the soft surface of the playground area is great and super spongy. The pond with the pier structure can be used for fishing. Pet friendly area, lots of people were walking the paths with their dogs. We’ll definitely be going back and hope that our town takes notes from this park for play area and baseball field planning.

My kids LOVE this park. I really like it, and would love to give it a 5 star review, but I just can't. It's a great playground with a lot of entertainment for a wide variety of kids. The whole thing has a great turf bottom and is a fantastic space for play. Especially great for kids who like to climb. But for some reason, all that money and designing this new park, and they put this playground within 20 feet of a fishing pond with no barrier to the play area.

Between the waters edge not being visible from where a lot of the parents sit, and there being no fencing or barrier between the play area and water, this playground is begging for an accidental drowning. Drowning is quick and quiet! I watched very small kids (definately younger than 4) go down to the water unattended several times over the 2 hour visit we were there. I had to shoo some of them back to the play area, parents completely unaware occupied with other kids on the other side of the playground.

I really hope they fence off the play area before...

Took some kids I was babysitting to the playground. They loved the jungle gym equipment. Really fun for them. Unfortunately there were some unsupervised older kids who stayed in the top section of the jungle gym talking very inappropriately and rudely to other kids. They were also trying not to let other kids through to the highest slide. I don’t know if there could be some language rules made or enforced in any way?? But this was very disturbing to the 7, 5, & 3 year-olds I was babysitting. Need some better way for adults to see to the top section of jungle gym so it’s not a hideout for mean kids and inappropriate language. (This was on a...
