Its a great start to a wonderful way to tell of the history of the area. Saving the Sawmill and motor. Saving the original quarantine house. Recreating the Stimpson home. Having a framework for an Anishinabe wigwam. The seasons circle. The church. The issue is their are so many more worthwhile structures that would compliment the village but it requires real money to buy, transport, repair and set on a base. Read moreWe took our children there on our way out of town and spent almost 2 hours walking around the property, exploring all of the buildings, and having really great conversations about what life was like back in the late 1800s. The volunteers on site were very knowledgeable and were extremely friendly. No cost; just a donation if you feel. Definitely worth checking out with the family!
