The Lakes at Laura Walker is one of the best golf courses in Georgia and the whole Southeast. They are totally reworking the greens but have built temporary greens so play can continue. Smart!! There is much, much more to love about Laura Walker State Park, too, starting with the beautiful cottages located beside the main lake and close to the golf course. Then there are well-maintained trails everywhere for hiking and biking; a big lake for swimming, fishing, or boating; a beautiful campground; a historical background to explore; and activities and events happening nearly all the time. And the cottages and campground serve as a great "hub" for accessing all the surroundings counties have to offer. Read moreWhat a joke this place has become. Course has not be taken care of and they finally lost all the greens. "Temporary Geeens" were made and they warn that the greens are slow. Of course the greens are slow, they just put a flag in the fairway. That's not a temporary green, not even close. If you dont have anything close to resembling a green, you don't have a golf course.
