Stone Mountain Wine Cellars — Attraction in Wayne Township

Wasn't going to leave a review describing our experience but we tried the 4 bottles and each was worse than the last. To start, we arrived to a nice older lady smoking next to the outdoor bathroom. Shook it off. She went in when we did and as we looked around the small room at all the medals we decided to purchase a few bottles but when she asked if we wanted to do a tasting, I looked at my wife and could see the no in her eyes. We made our purchase and as we left she came back out for another smoke. Like I said in the beginning, I wasn't going to leave a review but last night we opened to try the bottles and the taste was off. I am a big white wine and fruit wine drinker, these tasted as if they had been shelved longer than they should have. Shame, our expectations were so much higher. Stopped in on a whim while travelling and found a hidden gem that felt right at home with the surrounding countryside. I was blown away by the selection and quality of the sweet wines (my personal favorite) and actually really liked the jalapeño flavor! 🤯

The staff was awesome, and more than happy to share in the long history of the families and the farms that grow these fruits and make the wines, and nothing says farm-to-table like stepping outside and seeing the fields yourself!
