After 13 straight weeks of rain, my boyfriend and I decided to do a Lake Beach Day. As I was looking through the state parks, being careful to avoid the lakes region due to Bike Week, I came across the profile of Clough State park. The pictures looked really nice and with it being less than an hour from my house - I made the parking reservation. It was certainly off the beaten path but when we finally got to the parking area we were surprised that the Park has ownership of several wagons that the allow you to use. Once you get to your table/area of choice, you leave the wagon and they come collect them and bring them to the parking area. 😱😍💕 The walk from the parking lot to the beach/picnic area is a fairly long one so having the wagon really helped. There is a beach store where they rent out floats, canoes, kayaks and other beach paraphernalia. You can also purchase snacks, ice cream, and sunscreen. Once we settled in, we went for a swim and had a blast. Not only was the water and picnic area incredibly clean, but I swear they had the cleanest nicest smelling port a potties I’ve ever been in. Very simply put, you’d be foolish to pass an opportunity up to go there. I know were already planning on going back 😍🏖️🩳☀️🧴

So many years ago now used to bring our girls here all of the time. Time slipped away...An elder now widowed. Circumstance being what it is finds this country to core woman living middle of the city 5th floor apartment . Found myself remembering those days gone by. When feeling almost certain unable to breath borderline panic as so oft happens of late finds me making a beeline to this haunt my yesteryear. The backpack tunes little something to read and rocking chair. It calms me soothes soul. CSP has in no uncertain terms been huge enabling me maneuver seemingly impossible space i find myself. Isnt just the place either. The staff aside from performing their routine tasks as expected are grand ambassadors state of New Hampshire. Every one these youngsters ive encountered great attitudes respectful; decent kind individuals.. So grateful for this blessing Clough State Park and Staff.

Great place to go for swimming, grilling and a picnic. Lots of picnic tables and a gazebo. No music allowed. Carry in, carry out. Port-a-potties are okay, and they do have a few that are handicapped-accessible. Parking near the beach is only for handicapped parking, but it’s a short walk from the parking lot, and they have wagons to help you cart your stuff from your car. Water is clear, bottom is sandy. If you don’t mind squishy aquatic plants under foot, you can venture beyond the swimming barrier. No lifeguard, so swimming is at your own risk. Fishing allowed. As of 2025, adults are $4, kids 6-11 $2, under 6 free. Over 65, free. There is a little store there, but it wasn’t open while we were there despite it being between 10am-7pm; I suspect due to staffing. You can make a reservation and pay ahead and season passes are available.
