Rader Park — Attraction in Weatherford

Well.. I love Rader park! I have been attending fireworks displays at rader park now since 1990. I grew into the skateboard aspect over the years and I just love the flow of the skatepark, however small some might say, "Weatherford Skatepark , @Rader Park is definitely among the smoothest small town skateparks... Given my experience with many skateparks around this country. From central where I began to the south while I worked in Texas and Louisiana to the north where I prayed and prayed to get back on my board so since I couldn't ride on the road well.....I couldn't stand for that and now the Bitter Valley went from 1 park 58 miles away to now having 4 skateparks located every other town all the way to the "ZOO" town, nicknamed for it's wild atmosphere and "freedom like living". California, Arkansas and next to be Florida and all little towns in between. @RADERPARK I ALWAYS Have the most fun and the most diverse afternoons being as the park also includes a jungle gym with rock climbing features, a basketball hoop, which needs to be replaced BTW, Amphitheater, volleyball, and covering from the elements with enough space to BBQ for an army, @RADERPARK there is room to run!! A PERFECT visit everytime. Feel safe at @RADERPARK knowing our cities finest keep a good eye out for all that go to enjoy... Thank you to the city of Weatherford. Families and Friendships have continued to grow and thrive, and our schools and summer league sports are located @RADERPARK, making for undeniably fun...

This is a nice ball park, definitely one of the cleaner well kept parks we have been to. They were grilling up delicious ball park dogs and burgers all weekend. The chili cheese dog was a bargain at three bucks. Entree fees are climbing but if it keeps the parks clean I am ok with it within reason. I don't want to pay major league prices but my granddaughter is definitely worth $8-10. Even if you don't have a kiddo to support, go and pick a team or teams and follow the bracket for the weekend. Cheer them on , it's a great time and the softball and baseball teams really appreciate all the extra support. Let the kids know you believe in them. As adults we should be teaching our children we believe in them. Besides it's a fun time to be had...

Rader Park is clean and well-maintained. This is difficult for so many parks where the grass is unmowed and the grounds are littered. I did not see one piece of litter at Rader Park. Good maintenance makes the place feel safe.

There were lots of people enjoying the space. Men were golfing and kind enough to point me down the road to the Mike Brown Event Center.

That said, better signage is needed.
