Blue Ridge Daylilies — Attraction in Weaverville

I can't believe it's taken us 10 years to find Blue Ridge Daylilies! What a fun afternoon! The biggest dilemma: how to decide! Robert greeted us as soon as we walked up and offered us a pricing guide. He and Eric provided engaging conversation throughout our visit and helpful hints for care and propagation of daylilies. After narrowing our choices to eight (out of the hundreds available!) we were sent on our way with a couple extra plants as gifts. Not to mention the soft drinks and snacks provided and the water for our dog. One thing worth mentioning, plan your trip for the morning or early afternoon. By late afternoon, the workers were busy removing the day's blooms from the plants so that the fields looked fresh and gorgeous for the next day. That's quite a daily undertaking! While the blooms still looked pretty at 4:00 p.m., they wouldn't be beautiful at 10:00 the next day. Still, with the flowers removed, it's harder to tell what some off the plants...

What a magical place! Me and my husband planned our trip up to TN around being able to stop and purchase lilies here. It was a very hot day the day we visited but they were so helpful, friendly and accommodating! What a wonderful late morning we had at Blue Ridge Daylilies farm. Acres and acres of gorgeous lilies! The owner made a special exception and sold us some beautiful red leaf and green leaf canna lilies which will bloom orange! Nice people in a gorgeous place and they truly enjoy what they’re doing.
