Bear Creek Lake — Attraction in Webster

Beautiful higher elevation lake near Cullowhee. There is a public boat ramp with pit toilets and plenty of parking in a free paved lot. There is also a very nice fishing pier there. The lake is used by motor boats, but is also very nice for small craft. I spent the day paddle boarding down several of the many quiet coves. We absolutely love this small lake. With the exception of a few fun makers on speedboats and wave boards, lake is mostly quiet. Perfect for our kind of slow kayaking. We especially love the view of Sols Creek Falls visible from the water! Most of the land around the lake are privately owned, including Sols Creek Falls so enjoy a quiet paddle in the lake but be respectful of private property. There is a boat launch and easy parking...
