Wow; this place rocks! Reasonable entry price, large healthy pumpkins still on the vine, and lots of things for kids to do. Definitely a cute and worthwhile trip. They have been open for 16 years and add new things each year; definitely a place that should be part of your fall tradition.
Kids: My three year old nephew loved the slides and goats. They also have a combine kids can sit in, a tractor to sit on, and a sandbox that is corn instead of sand. You can tell a lot of kids enjoyed the unique sensation of jumping in a pile of corn. Lots of hay bales and games like corn hole, ladder golf, and corn crib basketball. I appreciated that they had Chickens clucking about, goats to feed, and plastic bull heads to rope. They made a little swing that was a horse and a can was a bull to ride on.
Pumpkins: I was incredious when the guy told me how many pumpkins they sold as there are so many large orange pumpkins left. Unlike other patches which sold out in September or were full of moldy gross pumpkins, this one has thousands left on the vine. They have gourds, small colored pumpkins, squash, and pumpkins for pies. You can ride on a trailer pulled by a tractor to go out to the field. They wait for the people to return with pumpkins they picked from the vine then they drive you back to the main area.
Food: While I was sad they didn't have whole pies, apple/pumpkin donuts, or other bakery goodies to take home, they did have a nice little cafe with prices that were not blown out of control. Furthermore, they do sell apple juice and slices of pie at the cafe. Instead, I bought a pumpkin and will make my own pie.
Bottom line: While this is not the disneyland of patches like Valas, this has a homey feel with enough things to do at a great price. It wasn't too crowded so I feel that we had the ability to do everything we wanted while...
Read moreMy fiancee took me here for the first time on Saturday (10/12) and I can not stop talking about it. I have been to a couple other big pumpkin patched and I will forever come to Bloom where you're planted. Not only is the admission price incredibly reasonable but its not overwhelming crowded and busy. The staff was so kind and helpful and even offered to take us on a tractor ride when they were going to close in just a few minutes. I thought that was so kind of them to give us the full experience. They also have trails you can walk on which were absolutely gorgeous views. The vintage shop/ barn was full of some of the cutest vintage items I have seen and they were so much cheaper than going to a vintage market or an online shop. They had goats and horses to pet. They had games and tractors to climb on. They even had a cafe and KETTLE CORN! I Highly recommend for a family outing or a...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a family friendly, affordable, and quiet pumpkin patch this is the perfect one! My husband and I went on a Sunday and had no troubles with parking or long lines. There’s plenty of pumpkins to choose from and they offer a free tractor ride to where the pumpkins are at. If you have a lot there are wagons available. You are able to pick from pre-selected pumpkins if you don’t want to pick them yourself. There’s also many activities for young children to participate in, trails to walk, and a couple of food options. We loved it and will be coming...
